Hey all, Just wondering what thoughts are on the Speedmaster 3594.50 ( Hate to use the term 'replica'). I have always been drawn to the stainless steel bezel, and this watch seems to have a nice vintage charm. Of course the new Speedmaster 60th anniversary model in an attractive option as well (though pricier)... Cheers Gvid
Ok folks, let's use the right terminology.... they are not replicas.... these are re-inspiration models.... is not faux lume but an appropriate colorway designed with harmony in mind and artfully applied on every re-inspiration model.. oh yes.. the 3594.50, I like it! (not mine but a web pic)
I used to own one but sold it as 42mm proved a bit large for me (which is why I still don't own a Speedy). It's a nice one, a little different from the usual speedies, and the BA hands are quite attractive. At certain angles the time can be slightly hard to read, but most of the time, it's OK.
NT931 agree with the 42mm size...for me that would be the maximum diameter for sure. Got to find one to try on in person before committing!
I bought one 2 weeks ago after sending my speedy pro in for service. It's immediately become my favourite daily wear (over a sub, datejust, Pelagos, and a few vintages) Only trouble with it is the mirror hands tend develop some corrosion spots that really stand out on camera, but are barely noticeable in real life. Love this watch. For me it's the casual watch, and my 3572.50 on leather is my suit watch at the office.
Not the only steel bezel 41mm broad arrow hands Speedmaster of course. Here is the one they released 10 years later in 2007 (for the 50th anniversary), though this time using the 3313 rather than 1861 movement, the rather less easy to remember 321.10.42.50.02.001:
Just wondering how the people that own this watch, or have owned it? How do you feel about it? Still in the rotation? Or did you sell?
Hi, I just picked up a 3594, 2 weeks ago from this forum, after a long hunt. It's my first Speedie and I absolutely love it. Been barely off my wrist so far!! I am a big fan of the broad arrow hands and steel bezel. It's great value compared to the 57 reissue, at about half the price, with a similar look. Personally haven't found any issue with the legibility of the hands (though many people had commented on this on other threads), though I suppose I don't own a standard Speedie to compare it against.
Some photos!! The 3594 looks awesome great on a leather strap- I've bought several and have been rotating them.
I like the fit of the leather band, can you tell me the brand, etc.? Thanks, Sorry, I didn’t recognize this as an old post.
