I received this one today – seeing this one in person is completely different than in photos. It's incredible what a difference of 2mm makes. I think what helps is the fact that it's a panda style dial since the white portion causes the dial to appear even smaller than its 40mm size. It fits beautifully on the wrist, much better than 68 LE release. Just need to get the Milanese for this one now also. Another thought, if I knew how to disassemble the watches – I'd switch both date wheels with each other and use the black on this panda dial which would be more in line to its original. I mean they are the same movement, right?? Haha I wish I could! Anyway, any of you that were deciding on this one – DO IT! Very well worth it.
It’s just slightly off white but the cream color may be due to the lighting. The case is just a bit smaller than the 68 reverse panda at about 14.5mm. Here it is under some white light from my phone:
Mine also came with the standard black strap, I just think the brown leather gives it more of the vintage feel and it’s less stiff. I’m considering ordering a milanese for that one too.
yeah i agree with OP. Case size doesn't sound as big of a difference as it feels in person. I am so tempted to get it, but i can't quite justify it yet.
