Hi, all. I would appreciate any thoughts on the authenticity of this Consrelation: http://www.chrono24.com/en/omega/constellation----steel---cal-505---1950s--id5077953.htm
I'm afraid I'm too much of a newbie to be much help beyond being able to say that the 505 movement does match up with the 2852 case. Hard to tell about the dial from the pics, but From what I can see, it appears to pass Desmond's MOY test.
Look at the lume dots, for one. I can't see shit on my laptop but you can see the markers don't appear to be lined up correctly.
redialed relumed AND horribly over polished best thing about this is the strap lettering is frankly shocking look at "officially certified chronometer"... and its a bloody "crosshair" pie pan some bright spark somewhere decided its a good idea to fake the dial with one that would be rather desirable if it was genuine but its bloody crap. IF... IF... you could certify the movement matches the case number (you will need to ask him he will need to tell you the truth... (unless hes a total prick and its 50/50 i guess.. he may say "dunno how checking me not open watch mee needing specialistica watchy man maker me not knowing me thinky thinky very good.." off topic... where am i...? oh yea IF you can certify the movement matches the case AND is in good unbutchered condition (still 50/50) then its worth buying BUT be ready to spend another £500+ on a good dial and then you will have a GOOD but not all original condition watch... and its still stupidly over polished
"A pristine stainless steel Constellation Omega automatic chronometre officially certified" PRISTINE!
