http://www.ablogtowatch.com/zodiac-super-sea-wolf-53-compression-zo9257-zo9258-watches-bracelet/ Kinda digging these new variations, esp that blue. They are a thin 40mm. Price seems decent at 1k or 1.2k on bracelet. I think I'm lucky there is nowhere near me with them for sale. Anyone seen one in person?
These have been growing on me over the past month. I keep seeing them in a case at an outlet mall. My only complaint when wearing it was that it was much lighter than expected. Not cheap light just not as hefty as you would expect. They do wear very comfortably on the vintage style leather strap some of them come with, and have a decent wrist presence on my 6" wrist. . I haven't pulled the trigger because the outlet mall offers them at 60% off, and I can't seem to get the idea out of my head that something must be wrong at that discount. I like the red bezel one, gives me the black bay red look I want but can't afford. Edit: these were also breifly discussed here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/new-zodiacs.44755/#post-529906
If I saw one at 60 percent off I'd jump on it. Seems like Fossil is unsure what to do with the brand.
It looks pretty good with the metal bracelet, but I would say it would look even better on the good vintage style leather strap. I have a zodiac oceanaire, bought it as a summer beater, really enjoying this watch. There is only one thing about zodiac brand, as it's been mentioned before, Fossil is not bringing it to the level of Zodiac from 60s. I wouldn't pay a full price for it, but definitely would get it with the good discount. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
I've long maintained an interest in the old Zodiac watch models and have a few. These new ones look quite decent in photos. I've not seen one in person. Perhaps it shouldn't matter, but I'm not keen on so many watch brands who prominently emblazon the year they supposedly originated on their dials. It does not lend any legitimacy to a brand that's been reconstituted in almost an "add water and stir" sort of way.
