Caseback text is a little spotty. Case has never been mounted on a bracelet. Serial is in the correct range for the dial hand combo.

What do you think about the dial?

The acrylic is pretty scratched so it does skew the dial plots a little.

well that makes sense then. Sadly these flakes are getting spendy and really hard to find now. The dealers are requesting between 9 and 10.5 now. I got lucky on the few that i have but i am not sure i could afford more at this rate......yours is gorgeous....better to have loved and lost then never to have loved......if that helps.

If I find something cheaper than the actual requires I'll buy it. It's a beautiful watch! Thank you for your comprehension :)

i have a 7016 no date in black as well but this watch just tugs at me. I love the shield dial flake hand combo. Just an epic combo that you don't see often. If you are interested in the history, there is a great write up on the rolexforums about the tudor black bay ancestor. it is really cool how they were discovered and what we know about them now. There is also a write up in the Mondani book about them. Check it out. Very cool and very rare.
