I think that Al knows a little more than the average bear about the construction quality of watches. His thoughts on GO carry more weight with me than some enthusiast koolaid drinkers or a Melbourne watch repairer that I don't know. The GO's I've seen seem to be maintaining value more than a lot of other brands I see.
On the issue of value: Tutor is to Rolex as GO is to Lange If you like a specific model and it fits your budget, go for it.
I love the watches coming out of Glashutte. The PanoReserve is an absolute beauty. I've just bought a Jaeger MUT Moon and i'm having regrets looking through these pictures!!!
I recently started looking at these a bit more seriously as they provide more "bang for your buck" than a Lange. I'm seriously considering the panomatic The only thing holding me back is the thickness
So what do you guys think, is this a real affordable contender to the A. Lange's? I'm seriously considering purchasing one of these.
Still have mine, and have been wearing it now for about a week...to me it's a classic, so if you like the style, then get one.
This question isn't related to the watches strap but in your opinion, do you think the full gold case model of this watch is worth it or does it make more sense to stick to steel?
I'm not a gold person, so for me it's steel only. IMO that is one of a long list of reasons why I went with the GO instead of a Lange 1...
