Thoughts on fitting a OEM black alligator strap/deployant to a vintage speedmaster?

Does anyone have any advice on doing this? Is it advisable/recommended? Or does this detract from the original vintage look.

I don't have the precision of a well-tuned archer, so I'd use tape to protect the lugs. :p

I personally like the look, but prefer a matte versus a shinny leather croc strap; a dark brown would work for me too. :coffee:

    sure! why not! ;)

I like it! I went with brown though to match the watch's patina. 10.22.12 _31pulse and leavessmall.jpg

I love alligator straps. I have one from Camille Fournet in honey on my 105.003 and it balances the watch IMO.
