Hi folks - forgive me if this isn't an appropriate use of this forum (I'm a newbie here).

I've been coveting a Speedmaster GSOTM (Grey Side of the Moon) and came across this one on the ebays:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261971390545Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

It all looks / sounds fine to me, but the price seems almost too low to be true? Anyone see any red flags here, and/or have any experience with the seller?

    Much appreciated in advance...

That seller is well respected on TRF, so I would think that it's legit through and through. Kept my eyes on this listing as well as other concerning the GSOTM but had to put off the purchase, but I think you'll be fine if you purchase it.

And it's not really "too good to be true" since it's around the market price for GSOTM and DSOTM pieces right now.

If it is from a known seller on TRF or elsewhere, you should contact them directly. No doubt the price would be less if they avoid eBay fees and charges.

Gorgeous piece, and glad to hear it all went well. The grey ceramic case is stunning.

Shame it's in the US, likely to get caught by import duty & VAT.

Do what I did and marry an American so you have a local address. Granted it's a little extreme to save a few quid, but it's worth it in the long run. ;)

Wow that's so cheap compared to what they were going for.. I guess omega didn't do that great of a job protecting their watches from being discounted ...

The Omega managed boutiques don't do discounts but Omega can't control what its ADs do. Watches are bought in bulk from cheaper markets and sold elsewhere.
