Found this Connie on Craigslist. Having trouble getting in touch with the seller unfortunately. No shots of movement or inside caseback to confirm details. Comes with box, buffing cloth, certificates. Thoughts? Seems to be in good condition and doesn't throw any obvious red flags at me from reading through several Constellation guides.
Please start a new thread in the vintage omega subforum. Introduce yourself and tell us what you have found in your research. This thread is "Not for Inquiries"
That's horrible. Give me the contact info and I'll give the fellow a stern talking to ...And as Jwit says - the "(not inquiries)" in the title means just that.
Sorry mate just moved your post across too as I was separating this out into its own thread, moved yours here now too so it doesn't look like you're talking to someone who isn't there like a crazy person
My thoughts as well. I have its dome dial twin Meh, I'm used to the odd looks. I'd still like the contact info though
@ConElPueblo If you're looking for it, just go to Craigslist and click on "Casual Encounters" thats where people list any watch they've casually encountered in their travels.
Oooh, nice! Why didn't I hear of this before now? You guys are always trying to hide away the goodies! I am off for craigslist now, bye!
Some of our members practically live in that section, that's how their precision instruments ended up covered in patina.
Is this why they all fuss about how water resistant their vintage watches are? And the girth of their wrists?
Yea, most blokes tend to pretend they need far more links than they really do. The water resistance is no joke though, one failure and you don't get to buy a new watch for 18 years.
Nice Connie Only criticisms are a later Omega buckle and what's going on with the colour of the crown? Depending on price it would be a 'buy it' from me
Case is nice and sharp and dial is equally nice. The buckle and crown are what they are. If the watch is in running condition, probably worth the gamble if price is reasonable. gatorcpa
Shouldn't the crosshair run straight through the center of the star and the omega logo? Just trying to learn more on connies .
I would want to see it from a head-on angle. I've seen almost perfect dials where one or more markers had fallen off and needed to be reattached. Stuff happens over 50+ years. gatorcpa
Gah! I already moved that post out into its own thread, this is a new thread dedicate to your watch! lol Now I can either delete the other thread you just created OR merge it into this one if theres stuff in your post there you want to keep, which would you prefer (just to avoid having two which gets confusing).
