Thoughts on an 18K Omega ref. 2903

I have been thinking about purchasing this 2903 in 18K yellow gold but wanted to check in with others before pulling the trigger. The 18K case looks sharp and the waffle dial looks to be in good condition.

I was wondering what you thought about the subseconds dial. Is it common with this reference the have the subseconds lines extend beyond the seconds hand? The photos of ref 2903 that I have seen online have usually had Geneve on the dial. Is this a known variant?
