    Hello,

I came across this UG Polerouter on eBay and I wanted to know if it would be worth bidding on it.

    Best regards.

    Hi,

The dial appears to be original. Lume has patina'd and it has lost the yellow-ish character, but that's fine. Case has been polished before, but IMHO not to the point to distort the case shape.
Crown is a replacement, aswell as the crystal.
Movement looks rough, so a service is needed. Factor the costs of service + new crown and if the price adds up to you... Just pull the trigger!

    Best,
    Javi.

Edit: Crosshair may have been repainted in the past (look at the missalingment with the UG logo)

I've been looking for a gold crown for my gold UG polerouter and found a guy selling a silver crown. You can DM me and I'll connect you to him if you end up buying the watch.

Personally, I think the lugs are a bit sad, but I guess that's a matter of individual preference.

Also has the 21x post type microtor auto winder mechanism when it should have the later bearing plate type. This won’t effect the way the watch runs, they can be swapped no problems, but thought I would point it out.

Here's mine that was restored several years ago by Watches By Hans in Houston Texas. The dial is a redial. polerouter.jpg

saw this on ebay too and bid ended at $1200, good buy anyway, even though the case is a bit polished up.

Looks like an 869111/01 - they take a very specific crown type to fit inside the cutout on the case.
As has been said, crown, crystal, and rotor are non original to the watch.
