Hey guys, I'm still looking to buy my first Omega.. Found a couple watches that looked interesting but wasn't sure on what a good deal would be / if they even look authentic. Was hoping for some help

#1: Not a big fan of the rusty hands - makes me worry about water intrusion at some point.
#2: Definitely a redial. Steer clear.
#3: Not sure about dial originality, but the hands just don't look right.

Thanks, missed the repainted dial in the description on the first one. Also, the 3rd one is dented but it's difficult to see the actual condition in the photos. Looks like I'll avoid these watches, thanks guys

I'd say that No. 1 has an autowinder and bridge from a different watch and question why the hands are so corroded compared to the rest of the watch.
No. 2 - did they ever make a dial in that colour?
No. 3 Some indistinct photos, but I have a feeling that it is OK - just not particularly desirable.

I like watch #3. It seems to be in pretty nice shape, and the engraving on the back is still very deep. Usually those front loading Cosmics have nearly worn away or polished down engravings on the back, particularly these C-cases like this 135.016 and the 166.0xx models.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone.. Can anyone offer some input on these 2 watches (authenticity, etc) / what a good price point might be

#2 is a terrible redial. One major tell is when the "Swiss Made" is riding that high on the dial.

I think #1 is a redial too, the Seamaster / MEISTER seems to be tilted slightly downwards to the right.

    Or am I imagining it?

Looks good to me. The "Meister" was printed separately so a slight tilt is possible, but more likely it's distortion from the crystal.

You're right, I just got a ruler and levelled it against the hour markers and it looks pretty level.

Maybe just an optical illusion

Thanks a lot guys, I'll avoid #2 then. What would be a good price for the first watch?

There is no fair price, it's an auction.

You have to decide how much you can afford and how much you want the watch and then submit a bid for your highest amount.

If somebody wants it more than you you lose.

I can't give a reasonable limit as I'm not based in the US or totally familiar with that market, but if buying from Australia, I'd go to maybe $400 or so, if I really wanted it then maybe $500, but I'd bid in odd amounts, e.g. $523.50.

Yeah I know it's an auction, I just meant basically a range where it would be a fair / good value. My concern on the watch is that it has deep scratches on one of the lugs. Thanks for the advice
