Pictures aren’t great I know. Just after thoughts on this 1982 5513 MK 4 maxi. Lume looks consistent on hour markers and hands. Hard to tell how polished the case is. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

 

Looks nice, and the case is very fat. I'd want to see better photos, but just look at the crown guards, where you can see the ridge lines. Those often get polished away through the years. And look at the lug holes. They appear flat, not bowed in like they get on cases with a lot of polish.

No comment on the case-back sticker. Could be a great sign of originality, or just something that was added later.

 

It included box and papers. Sold for just over £16000 today

 

Decent price, but these are get-able. There will be others!

I saw it on Fellows and placed a measly bit, well beyond the estimate, but I'm sure they still chuckled at it!

 

That's useful information thanks, as I am just beginning to study the 5513 but still swimming in a sea of uncertainty...

 

I had a look on Fellows for the 1st time as I was searching for a 5513 and once you include the ludicrous buyers fee the prices in general were inflated, but you never know until you've looked!
