So I recently purchased an Omega Constellation Calendar with solid 18k gold stepped pie pan dial. It has a Chronometer grade calibre 504 movement which dates to 1957. Reference 2943 SC I fell in love with the stepped dial and almost never see them around, let alone with a calendar. Would love to see others!!! Wondering what everyone else thought of the stepped dial? And what straps would you guys reccomend. Currently on a leather Jean Rousseau custom strap. Hoping to track down a matching 7077 18k bracelet someday.
I love the stepped piepans too. I'd say yours is a 2954 and not a 2943, the case carries a dual reference and the 2954 is for the Deluxe variant of which yours is. Here's my 2853 with stepped dial, so beautiful when the light plays on the facets.
Where the hell is everyone? Out in Speedy-land? These are two killer watches that deserve more attention then they're receiving.
Could you please explain what TGDW means? I completely agree with you, these are some rare birds! absolutely stunning!
These dials are absolutely stunning!!!! Seriously is great to finally come across others. BUT to all owners! Am I crazy or is it almost impossible to find a clear angle for a pic. I mean these stepped dials catch every angle and reflection of light. The MOST beautiful dial in the sun
Ref 2930, cal 505, rose gold. Originally on bracelet but it was long gone when I found the watch. Use it maybe once a month. Enjoy it immensely.
