Thoughts?! Ladies Rolex Datejust

Hi All,

Made a bit of an impulse buy on a Rolex Datejust.. I was looking for an investment watch / a gift for my girlfriend and came across this little thing:

Now I know its a custom dial and bezel as that was stated in the advert... It has all the paperwork etc with it...

I would be interested to hear peoples thoughts on this one... Is it worth keeping?

Hard to tell from your pictures, but that appears to be an older style bracelet, and it appears to be badly worn. I don't think all those after-market parts really qualifies this watch as "investment" grade. One has to wonder about after-market parts where you don't see them- in the movement! I have a suspicion you might be in for a surprise if this watch were to ever go to a Rolex dealer, or to Rolex, for service!

It's not what I would get for Mrs. Blufinz, but it's personal preference.

Only you can decide if it's worth keeping - my wife would call it too "real housewives" for her tastes, but people like different things.

Just one thing to consider is that with the aftermarket parts on it, Rolex now considers it to be counterfeit. If you take it to them for servicing, they will replace whatever parts are needed to bring it back to what it was originally when it left the factory, charge you handsomely for that, and they will keep/destroy the aftermarket parts.

You still could get it serviced by someone other than Rolex of course.
