Thoughts & advice on this 2627 calendar (cal. 355)?

    Dear all,
Am looking at the following gold capped cal. 355 watch offered for 650 euros, which seems like a good price-- but it seems the crown ought to be gilt.
How difficult would it be to get a replacement, would you say this impairs value too much, and how can one find the correct part number?

Thanks as ever for your kind assistance.

It looks like 2627-10SC -- thanks for your help.
I tried to edit the pics so they are bigger and easier to look at.

Any other thoughts or guidance would be much appreciated.

I need to figure out what size it is, guess that would be a critical pricing element.
A bit sad the lume plots appear to be gone-- would that suggest the dial might have been redone? I didn't think so but the pics again are a bit small.

I think I have an old 4 leaf crown I would be happy to send if it helps. Looks good but I don't know how what the condition of the seals are.

This is the 2627 crown off Ofrei, same as a Seamaster. Shouldn't be difficult finding one.

Hard to say anything definite about the watch without better close-ups, but it doesn't look like a redial to me as the script is very fine and that's pretty dificult to reproduce on a textured dial. There is some issue with the hands (I'd say that they have been relumed), and the dial has probably had luminous materiale by the markers once - I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that the dial has most likely been cleaned at some point (losing the radium plots in the process), but not redialed.

Is it me or does the 4oclock marker look funny compared to the rest ie; bent open more at the lume plot

I think you're right but could that not be delicately fixed, and is it a major flaw?
If the dial is original it still looks nice for a 35mm watch no?

Thanks a lot @STANDY ... Now wondering whether there should be visible springs on the movement picture.

Thank you so much for the kind offer @Vercingetorix, if I buy the watch I would love to take you up on it. @Bumper, thanks a lot too!

I'm no expert, but agree with @ConElPueblo regarding the cleaning as opposed to redialling. Just looking at the pictures of the dial zoomed in, there would seem to be some loss of crispness to the lettering and the minute plots on the right hand side, however this could just be a result of expanding one image and reflections/shadows on the image. In the case of the sharktooth markers, I believe they were specifically designed to have lume dots in the concave ends and these would seem to have been removed. What I don't know, and others will be better able to tell is if there were ever lume dots at the 12, 3, 9 and date window positions.

The bowler-hat style crown that on there is also correct for this model, but it should be gold-plated.

I also believe that the dial was carefully cleaned at one point and the crumbling radium was removed. Looks otherwise original to me.

Here's an ad for the watch:

There are two different date windows on these also. Square, like your example and the one in the above ad and trapezoidal.

    Hope this helps,

It's difficult to tell definitively, but comparing the photo to the image in the advert, is there a slight discrepancy in the hand sizes and shapes. Specifically, does the the hour hand seem slightly shorter than in the advert and the minute hand a tad thinner?
