What you think about this 1680 serial 55xx. Legit? Seller wants $6700

 

looks pretty sweet

 

People on another forum thave doubts about it. Suspicion about fake endlinks/bracelet and also that the bezel and dial looks suspicious. Crown to short and fat, seconds index to short etc

Any comments?

 

Yep, endlinks look a little off.

Hell, I don't know anymore...Insert looks like an earlier fat font.

 

End links are no good.
Post a better picture of the dial (unobstructed) and bracelet/blades, etc.
I'll take a look at the pic of this dial meanwhile..

 

The dial has characteristics of a replacement tritium dial but need to see all of the writing. The hour hand is covering too much of the lettering..

 

Seller removed the ad pending better pictures. Will wait and see what he can produce.

Dial looks to be service, Insert is aftermarket, end links are not genuine... my 2 cents

 

How can you tell bezel and dial is aftermaket ?
