Caught my eye on a local watch forum. Price is very reasonable, but no image of the movement or indication of service history, which I have asked for. It looks very clean with no noticeable dings, opinions?
That’s a 1171/1 633 modern replacement. AFAIK it was never on a watch originally. But it’s my preferred current bracelet and I have one on mine. Looks like a standard luminova Speedmaster (post1999). Not much else you can tell from the pictures.
If not serviced you should include cost for this in your budget since it almost 10 years old. The good thing is if not serviced it’s a chance that the watch is in good original condition. Based on these pictures it’s impossible to judge if someone polished it or not.
It’s the std leather strap 3870 model with a modern 1171 swapped in. I would price it around £100-200 below a 3570 full set since the 1171 isn’t as valuable as the 1998 or similar modern bracelet. If you like the 1171, and like Foo I do too, it’s a good choice but bear in mind it started off as a leather strap model.
Yup @padders is right. Personally the fact it was originally on a strap, and now has an Omega vintage replacement part on it doesn’t really mean anything from a collectors standpoint. (I was too lazy to look if it was a leather strap pic code) But pricing is correct as stated it should be just under one with the standard shipped bracelet.
Well, that moved fast, it's (already) reserved: https://uhrforum.de/threads/omega-speedmaster-moonwatch-mit-1171-633.404857/ @simonscoffin; did you reserve it? Personally, I would consider the asking price (3k EUR) quite fair, perhaps a little on the high side given the likely need of service. Still, a great looking piece and of course the classic Speedy. Either way, I am sure it is going to be enjoyed by a new owner.
Sadly not. Work got in the way and I haven't had the chance to look again and read the comments. My first thought was it was a good price and I do prefer the 1171 to the original. The search continues....
