    Hi,

I am about to get my first mechanical and at the same time vintage watch. Considering this, I do not have any experience or knowledge what a good or reasonable deal is. This is why I need your help on the Seamaster 165.002 Military Dial I found for 3.523 USD.

For Referenz I found a similar watch in the SOLD section of this forum, which sold just for 1100 $.

Would you consider it a good deal?

    Thanks for your help.

Same principles apply here as they do with Rancheros (search the forum to find these discussions). This reference typically sells in the 300$ range. You are basically paying a premium because of the dial. FWIW, a very similar watch sold on eBAY a few months ago. The final sale price is unknown to me, but the BIN price was 1200$.
So is the >3-fold price worth it because of the dial?- That is up to you to decide. My 2c

Man! You could buy a nice gold Constellation for that money!
