    Found this on a site called timeline.watch .Haven't seen the 166.014 with a bad bezel. Anyone here that could tell me some more about this bezel? Is it original omega?

    I have been looking at that site too after hodinkee piece.....I have never seen that bezel either

    I don't know about the bezel but the reference (and caseback) should be a 165.014 as this watch had no date.

    You have to admit that bezel makes a certain sense if the inner ring is the other part of a slide rule...
