Why eBay allow any other members influence and disrupt transaction? Communication between buyer and seller should be isolated as soon as sale process stated. Other members contacting the seller in regards to my transaction is a violation of privacy. I have raised this question with eBay CS. Anyone that been in this situation knows what I am talking about.

I mean, you left the details a little vague.

Did a third party attempt to get the seller to cancel a transaction with you by offering him more? Did he influence an open case dispute? Did he convince the seller not to sell the watch? Can you be a bit more specific?

Thanks, It could be multiple reasons, just the fact that eBay allows this is wrong. But to be clear in my case "Third party attempt to get the seller to cancel a transaction with me by offering him more"

This makes me feel I have no privacy when I make a transaction on eBay, any other member can influence or disrupt my transaction.

I don’t understand what happened here.

Once an auction is closed, a person should not be able to contact a seller about that closed auction. If someone contacts a seller indirectly (maybe by inquiring about another auction from the same seller and mentioning the closed auction), that is a violation of eBay rules and that person may be suspended.

If a seller sells outside of eBay after receiving such an inquiry, they also may be suspended.

Good luck proving this, since a buyer would never see such correspondence.

eBay is far from perfect, but find a better format with more inventory.

Besides, why would you want to do business with someone who would sell like that? Some things are more important than money.

    Like integrity.

It's possible for a Ebay member to contact a seller "generally" without linking a specific item.

May be possible, but not ethical.

The OP would be better off not dealing with this person.

    Trust me on this.

Fundamentally eBay is not giving me privacy to complete my transaction. I am not interested specific seller or transaction.

    Amen.
Alas I’m afraid this lesson is getting lost in growing parts of the watch trading world.

It's not making me feel any better. I told eBay this making me less of an active eBay buyer.

Nothing will make you feel better except to tell yourself there’s nothing you can do about it, it’s the past and in the end it’s just a watch.

Let me give a good example. You bought a house, you are in escrow. Escrow company allows other buyers to submit offers and cancels your escrow. How will that make you feel?

You're preaching to the choir here, Omegalover. We're all on your side.

That being said, you're not going to get much satisfaction from Ebay, I expect.

Thank you for all support. Much love. If more people complain and read this post, eBay will have no option but to chance.

You can not contact buyer after the sale. Only seller can.
