hehe if you know what movie that's from bonus points, this is about my first quality Swiss watch, my first Omega but certainly not my last.

So this kinda like my introduction post even though I made a few here and there. I'm Pedro from Melbourne. I know there is a few Aussies on here as well so hi to everyone. I'm still learning a lot about watches as well thanks to this forum.

I got this watch about two weeks ago. I originally saw a a picture of this watch and started pining for it for no other reason that it looked great. I didn't know the history of this watch but I had to have it. This is what got me back into watches. The moonwatch history was a great bonus too and the fact this is a toolwatch as I love space and also fast cars and racing.

I didnt care much for watches in the last 10 years. Had a Citizen, a solar powered Orient that my dad gave me with a beautiful sapphire coloured blue dial ( that I have never been able to find again :() and a quartz Longines that my God father gave me at some point in my teenage years.

The two Japanese watches that I had got stolen unfortunately. Don't even know what happened to the Longines but I dont think it was of much value.
Although and some may laugh at this, I do have a classic Casio W28 that's about 30 years old. Still works and keeps excellent time at about 0.7 secs a day! Its a really cool watch that I quite like to wear.

The speedy is incredibly nice to wear, I cant stop looking at it. I feel its beautiful presence on my arm all the time.

I did have a question, I am not too sure but my watch seems to stop before the power reserve has run out if I place it dial down. I gave it a full wind and placed it dial down and after about 12 hours the watch had stopped and seemed to be out of power reserve. I also notice that maybe its about 12 seconds a day fast, I know its not a chronometer and there are other watches out there for accuracy but I would have expected around +5 seconds to be normal. ::confused2::

Anyway I will put some pictures up for all to see, sorry about my bad pictures. I dont know if its best to take pics with the flash on or off but hopefully they are ok. I might photo overload this thread though ::shy::

I also recently put it on the Nato strap that came with it. It is such a nice strap and very comfortable and gives the watch a great look. Highly recommend the Omega one if you are after one
