    They allow “replica” advertising.

    ::puke::

    A shame, because there are some nice niche subforums here (I learned lots of things on f10)

    WUS does have some redeeming qualities, including the sub-forums (noted above), and in the vintage forum, many interesting threads on lesser-known brands and models. There are some very knowledgable contributors, as well.

    Unfortunately, though, the platform sucks, and especially in contrast to our home forum here, which is the best in the world, in my view. Not only was it hacked a couple of years ago, but the servers are often slow, some of their rules are questionable, and the owners are often very slow to respond to known issues.

    I still contribute there, but to a much lesser degree than I once did, and largely because I simply find using the interface to be an unpleasant chore.

    Considering the overall policy of no discussion of replicas on WUS I'm going to assume that this was not intentional :D

    I feel like it's got a larger user base and any time things get big you get some good and some bad.

    I don’t need one here, and rarely go there. Although it looks as though Tz-U.K. will require me to ad one.

    Luckily I started with OF. Since joining this site the information is abundant.

    Sometimes when I try to open WUS via mobile, the image gets stretched. After spending 5 to 10 seconds trying to scroll down, I just closed it.

    True that, those ads keep nudging my browser page around and I usually end clicking something I didn't intend to, often do that twice and then give up and close it.

    Watchuseek has gone to hell in a handbasket. Much of the problem is the tiny little men that moderate there.

    Can you expand on that? I haven't run into moderation issues yet. It IS slow, though, and the most enthusiastic responses seem to come from threads like "Is this 1.2 pound Invicta too big for my 6-inch wrist?"

    I never go to WUS, but gotta say watchrecon pulled up a WUS lead on an 24mm mesh Omega bracelet for $199. This was a few days back. Worked out great. But it was a total pain sorting through the web interface.

    Life is too short for dealing with a bad user interface. ;)

    that's shocking, but maybe they don't have control of what ads go up on their site? Maybe google tries to match the most relevant ads to their website.
