This an intriguing, though odd, Tudor Advisor

The glossy black dial looks nice, but I'm wondering if it's an old refinish. It retains the late '50s arrowhead markers, but is marked with tritium content. The lume dots do look very even. It went to the RSC and was marked "enclosed dial is imperfect (old)". The baton hands are definitely later than 1958, and the red alarm hand is too long.

Both sold quickly, by the way...

I don't think the lugs on the black dialed one are that much thinner; the strap is definitely too narrow.

if they are too narrow its from the OUTSIDE ... I doubt anybody would polish the bracelet side of lugs ...

but if you can get the lower lugs of the black one and the upper of the silver one on one screen - there is def. a difference

I think the black one is a redial, the case looks heavily polished, the hands look later than the dial, and the alarm hand is too long, as has been pointed out. I also think the crowns are replacements. The white one is MUCH nicer ;-)

What's with the halo around the hour markers on the second one? Is that natural?
