You know how it is when you can't find what you're hunting. That's exactly when we need to stay strong. For example, my search for a nice original Omega Constellation with minute (rail) track dial. While there's one glimmer of hope, potentially ::stirthepot:: I'm stiffening my resolve to stay away (personal preference, mind you - don't allow me to convince you especially if this is your 'cup of tea')

While the listing includes 'dial: original Omega, Refinished sliver tone', n00bs could possibly be confused. Its just a redial....and not well polished

    Name and reference omitted intentially

So ... What are you looking at...twice.....????

Was that DESSERT, or DESERT? I can see thirsting for dessert, and being thirsty in the desert.

The case looks a lot like my 14393

The dial in question appears to have a "gutter" around the minute track. I've not seen a picture of a Connie with one of those. And the lack of a date window bothers me.

Also known as a "trench" dial and perfectly legit. There was a beauty on ebay about three years ago which wasn't too expensive but I didn't twig the significance of it at the time.

Well if I were a noob I'd certainly be confused by now
I think 'trench dial' has other connotations
    The 14381 has no date
    Shame about the OP watch
There are some magnificent examples of the Connie rail track dials on the show and tell thread

Trench or rail track dial, both the same but only seen in the 14381 and 14393 references. The 14393 is a 561 with date the 14381 is a cal 551 without date but AFAIK the case design is the same.

I´m sure @JohnSteed was only highlighting the ´buy now with haste, regret later at leisure´ nature of this poor watch!

Those are two sweet minute track dials guys. Thanks @cristos71 and @pitpro for posting these great examples.

I must say @Canuck ... after the pies I've sampled I'll just leave the title as is. Admittedly, I was distracted but the main thrust is the same. We should certainly chase good examples. Watch in the OP is a clear example of what I'd stay away from as its poorly refinished (dial) and terribly polished (case).
