1988 speedy pro. Just want to check here to make sure everything is correct for the year.
Not sure if it's been polished ever. Waiting for seller to get back to me.

I can't believe people are paying for extracts for watches from 1988. Things are getting a little crazy. 馃え

Why ever not?

It may not add a lot of value now, but it certainly will do in 20, 30, 40 years time.

Also, as collectors, we should be very thankful that Omega still offers this service, even though its not as cheap as it once was. So the more we use it, the more its unlikely that Omega will withdraw this service in future ( although i guess all bets are off in these covid mad times)

No, It looks ok to me, but the photos aren't great. Have you seen the movement?

It鈥檚 likely been polished, from the little I can tell.

Best part is the 1450 bracelet with correct endlinks.

Well, not all offer a free service - Patek charge 150 ChF and Rolex dont offer this service at all

Depends on price, but it looks correct. Agree with Sherbie, would look at movement if possible, both for correctness and condition.

Still negotiating. As you can tell from my other thread, I'm also looking at a 70s model but can't confirm the year and if the watch is original or not. This 88 looks good though.

Is there any chance you could provide the first 4 digits of the movement number? Curious to see where that puts it in relation to the year.

Waiting for him to bring it to the watchmaker to open it up. Will ask for case number and movement number.

$4500 is pretty strong, but that 1450 bracelet can sell for over $1K on it's own - at least it could in the past. Haven't followed it lately. It looks nice - the 80's tritium faded to a much nice color than the '70s tritium for some reason. My '77 is much more greenish.

Case looks overpolished, I would pass. Better 80's examples will come.

Not the greatest pics. Not sure what the tritium should look like after all these years.
