hi everyone

Just a FYI . this is still a work in progress..... The Things With Springs Clubhouse room is meant for a Live watch forum experience with a small GTG. We are striving for a collector to collector conversations.. having collectors either email me photo of there watch ( or they can join the forum and reply to this thread ) so we can " chat" about in real time... Just to be clear we dont have to talk about a posted watch ... this is a free flowing room on topics on vintage watches and things around watch collecting ... And at the end of the GTG when everyone leaves the CH room... and the room no longer exist ... This thread will remain as a quasi record of the event and we can later go back and refer to.... Hear you at 4 pm EDT Sunday ....

THINGS WITH SPRINGS CH CHAT 10/23/22
Remember the Clubhouse room is only as good as the collectors that join in.... please post a watch, timepiece , clock etc you want to chat about.

Be Safe

Good Hunting

Here’s a nice looking Omega Chronometer with what’s described as a ‘two tone crosshair’ dial from 1944. It’s got a 30t2 RG and is a reference 2366-5. It’s obviously got a crack in the crystal. The seller wants £2,999 for it (or best offer) which I thought was quite a lot.

This is a funny one I’ve seen. I’ve never seen branded Omegas before. I know that Rolex did the Dominos Air King and a couple of other branded watches but, I haven’t seen an Omega one before. This is a Dunlop racing one with a cal. 284 that is 33mm and 9ct solid gold. It’s selling for 849 Australian Dollars (£480). I keep looking at it even though it looks in quite bad condition.

Here is one that I won on eBay this week. A ref. 2993 Seamaster / Ranchero (or Seachero as it was referred to me as). Made for the Pakistan Air Force. They issued Seamaster branded Railmasters to their Pilots but it was too expensive to issue those to everyone so the Ranchero’s were issued to the ground crew. I’m not too sure what era this came from.

This one is starting very cheap. Looks like it’s been left in a drawer for years. It’s another piece together job.

A nice one that is again been advertised as ‘military’ but probably isn’t. It’s a 1944 30t2 movement 35mm piece.
