hi everyone

Just a FYI . this is still a work in progress..... The Things With Springs Clubhouse room is meant for a Live watch forum experience with a small GTG. We are striving for a collector to collector conversations.. having collectors either email me photo of there watch ( or they can join the forum and reply to this thread ) so we can " chat" about in real time... Just to be clear we dont have to talk about a posted watch ... this is a free flowing room on topics on vintage watches and things around watch collecting ... And at the end of the GTG when everyone leaves the CH room... and the room no longer exist ... This thread will remain as a quasi record of the event and we can later go back and refer to.... Hear you at 4 pm EDT Sunday ....

THINGS WITH SPRINGS CH CHAT 08/21/22

Remember the Clubhouse room is only as good as the collectors that join in.... please post a watch, timepiece , clock etc you want to chat about.

Be Safe

Good Hunting

Here is a 1923 solid silver Omega trench Watch with a rare guillochet dial that I missed out on last week. I really liked the rose engine turned dial. The silver case has German import marks on it indicating that it may have been imported from Germany at some point.
It is 31.7mm wide without crown, 34.45mm with crown and 36.5mm lug to lug. It takes a 12mm strap.
It uses a cal- 23.7 S.T.1 15 jewel movement and the crown has been replaced.
I was really taken by it for a 98 year old Watch but, it got snapped up before I could buy for £599.
Did I miss out on something special or was I saved by the buyer?

A beat up 1940’s Omega Watch head that I missed out on last week. It was sold as working and went for £142. I quite liked this one. It had some character and was cheap!

This was an ‘official’ Omega Porsche dial Watch that I was curious about and nearly took a punt on. The case was a 2590/3 using a 30t2 movement. Have you seen a brand collaboration like this by Omega before? It sold for £230.

This was an interesting on that caught my eye this week. A 1930’s Omega Chronograph which has had a new case built for it. It’s using a Cal 28.9 CHRO and the case is 33.5mm. I’ve not seen an original dial like this. Is it a redial?

This 1930’s Omega ‘Bullseye’ caught my eye too. It is 34mm. Using a 9039873 movement. The dial looks nice.
