    Hi all
I was wondering if any members here live in Minnesota. I have to be there at the end of the month for about 10 days of which 5 will most likely be free. Any interesting sights, must do's or must eat's while I am there?

    Thanks

    Vitezi,
Thank you. I kind of have a thing for lighthouses so thanks. Never really though to look for one in MN. I think the source of the Mississippi would be cool as well.

If you're in the twin cities find a burger place that sells the "juicy Lucy" - it was supposedly born there. I would also snag a game at Target Field. The Twins aren't half bad this year. Along that theme you can check out the new Vikings stadium to see where the next Super Bowl will be. If you want to kill some time, the Mall of America is a good walk. I was just there today meeting some friends. I have only been to a theatre and a 5 Guys in Rochester, so can't help you there. There are some great cycling trails close by though if you're into that. Enjoy your time!

Juicy Lucy is for on the list. I have a good Czech friend and he accused me once of never eating anything but hamburgers. Not true but I thought it was funny. Outdoor trails and parks are what we do most.

I'll probably spend most of my free time in Minneapolis and St Paul we are staying at a friends condo there. Rochester I have deluxe accommodations at Saint Marys and will probably want out of town as soon as I can.

Isn't the SPAM museum near Rochester...? Hmm..

Also there's a cool museum there, Mill City:

and Spyhouse coffee, if you're into coffee and local roasters - it's a great place to check out as well:

I visited this one on Broadway and it was a pretty cool area. The map shows something called Bauhaus Brew Lab down the street - I might have to check that out next time I'm there..

Of course there's the BWCA for hiking as well, and Minnehaha Falls IIRC was a pretty nice payoff hike with beautiful falls at some point:

    enjoy your trip! :)

Here are a few photos of the Mill City area that I took when I was there.. you can walk across the bridge, it's a really nice stroll.
And there's a great story as to why that chunk of bridge is missing/replaced with metal...
