* The only way you'd see the rotation of the earth as displayed on the back of the case is if the moon's orbit was circumpolar (i.e. at an inclination of 90 degrees or so) vs the moon's actual orbit which is at roughly 30 degrees to the Earth's own rotation. * The Lunar Module was attached to the Command Module when Apollo 13 went around the moon.
I don’t like that the incorrect lunar orbiter appears to be stuck on a gigantic stick. I would have imagined such a ‘mechanism’ would be better served as some kind of ‘mystery’ rotating glass plate.
That kind of optical trickery would raise the cost dramatically. You are asking for Cartier mystery clock technology on an Omega cartoon watch. Does not compute.
So make a nicer watch and charge more for it ... aren’t gen 2s going for 30k now and all they have is a luminous dog. Just irks me. Do it properly or don’t bother.
The ST1 is twice as nice and half the price. Is it me because every time I see the stick go around I look for a hand holding it. (must be some old puppet show flashbacks)
