Thickness of the titanium mesh on No Time to Die Seamaster

I recently put a mesh bracelet on my blue 300m Seamaster. It is 2.8mm thick and I purchased it from Strapcode. I originally bought it for my Tudor BB58 but I think it looks better on the Seamaster (I think due to the short lugs).

Once I put it on I began to wonder what the thickness was of the titanium bracelet on the No Time to Die 300m. I've done some google searches but the only references I find is to the thickness of the case.

Does anyone know how thick the bracelet is? I'd guess somewhere between 2.8mm and 4mm.

    Thanks.

It actually varies in thickness: 2.5mm at the lugs and 2.0mm at the clasp

Cool. Thanks. I wanted to make sure my 2.8mm mesh wouldn't look flimsy in comparison.

    I love the look.

The only problem with OMEGA mesh & deployant clasp is that it gets very thick at the deployant. Strapcode mesh (which I also own) has done much better job here.

I just Google searched a question that led me to a question I asked last year!

I like my Strapcode mesh bracelet but I'm tempted by the $720 Omega stainless steel mesh bracelet. But why? Objective me says it will be a waste of money vs. what get from the Strapcode mesh I already own, which is high quality, looks good, has a beautiful taper, and is extremely easy to adjust to the perfect fit.

I’ve tried the stock bracelet, the oem omega rubber (tang buckle) a handful of straps from a bunch of companies, some uncle Seiko bracelets that are also very nice, and now omega mesh.

If one of the “mesh holes” fits your wrist properly, you will fall in love with it. I think it’s the best look I’ve had on this watch and it’s very comfortable for me. I ordered the standard length and I have a 7inch wrist.

Feels about the same weight as the stock bracelet to me tho, not anything like the sensation of the titanium nttd reference... that is truly special, but I just can’t reconcile almost 10K for that one when I already have the blue ceramic at home

Here is my SMP on the Strapcode mesh. I love the look. I'm tempted by the cool factor of having the Omega version despite the cost although I know the clasp will be more bulky and less adjustable.

@502 to right could you please include some shots of the clasp on the wrist whenever you get a chance? Looks good so far. Thank you.

I have two problems with OMEGA bracelet:

    - TAPER -> Omega tapers only slightly, from 20 to 19mm, while on Strapcode it's 20 to 15mm
    - CLASP -> Omega deployant clasp is great, but when you consider the clasp two layers of mesh than closing becomes very thick; here also I must say, that on Omega you can regulate the length only every hole, on strapcode it is stepless. Advantage on Omega clasp -> very quick & safe closing, on Strapcode it's bit more tricky and widh danger of dropping the watch.

Price difference is of course huge, but this is not the factor that should be discussed -> you pay the brand & quality (although I can say nothing bad about Strapcode quality here).

Below video of my white SMP (BTW - for sale, PM me if interested) on Strapcode mesh:

And here NTTD on mesh (it's titanium but same in principle) where at 0:18 you will see the clasp with 2 layers of bracelet - pretty thick:

That strapcode looks fantastic. I wish I had known of this I would’ve given it a shot before going all in on the omega. Alas, so much of this hobby is trial and error and learning the hard way $$$

I too would love to see more of this strapcode mesh, I wish I would have checked, I have some strap code rubber straps that are excellent quality and considering their price an even better purchase

My strapcode mesh is just like Butik's in his video. It's a small clasp. As Butik notes, the danger is in dropping the watch when removing or putting on because the two sides completely separate. But you'd face the same danger with any strap not on a deployant. I just make sure I'm careful when removing or putting on and will generally make sure I do it over a softer surface like carpet or a rug. Also, I would not recommend any mesh bracelet that does not have a fold-over safety clasp. Some of the cheaper ones do not, and I would not take the risk of the clasp popping open and the watch going flying.

One of the things that most drew me to the Strapcode mesh is that it tapers from 20mm to 16mm. So it provides a more refined look than the ones that have no taper or very little taper. It's one of a reasons I almost never wear my SMP on the OEM Bond bracelet. I wouldn't mind a lack of taper on a brutalist diver like some Seiko's, but the SMP is a classy looking watch.

The OEM was too big and clunky for me. I have a small wrist and the clasp spanned over the bottom quite a bit and left a lot of slack length.

I'm glad I restarted this thread. I'm going to save my money on the $720 Omega mesh and just stick with my Strapcode version. While the Omega version looks cool, I just can't justify the price, especially considering I wouldn't wear it on the mesh all the time, and also considering it's fit and comfort issues. My SMP spends most of its time rotating between the 1610/930, a Forstner 1450 (milled clasp), and an Apollo 11 50th Anniversary bracelet.

I will sometimes put the original Bond bracelet on for a day in order to decide once again that I don't like it. :)
