Just when you think they've nailed down a model to be a classic, they go and do a delicious black face version... http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/GB/en/watches/master-ultra-thin-moon-39/1368470#/t1
I'm guessing you haven't seen the new Boutique edition Reverso Dennis ? It might even make you reconsider going for an original
I think they should have gone darker than that shade. I know they change with the light but it seems a little bland for the "premium" you'd be asked to pay. actually this would be drop dead gorgeous in the rose gold with the darker dial.
Drat, this one is exactly the size I prefer: http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/GB/en/watches/grande-reverso-1931-seconde-centrale/381357J
And interestingly, it's automatic! Luckily for me it's in WG so it'll be outta my budget. Will go back to lusting after a TTR1931 with a Fagliano strap...
Agreed. Meteorite dials simply must be seen with the naked eye, from many angles, and in many different lighting conditions before I can pass judgement. I suspect the pictures give the dial a lighter appearance than does the naked eye... either way, wow, this looks like a winner from JLC.
I prefer the original silver face to be honest. I'm not a fan of moonphases on dark (I know that's counter intuitive as the moon comes out at night)
Hey guys, a quick update after having seen some of the new JLC watches at their recent event in Singapore 1. The meteorite Master Calendar is rather nice indeed, though personally I'd prefer it if the streaky lines were less prominent 2. Personally I was a bit underwhelmed by the black dial MUT moon, it looked a tad too dark, and the pictures look better than the watch, which was a pity as the pics looked awesome 3. The surprise was the RG slate grey-brown dialed MUT moon. It's pretty awesome in the metal. It's hard to describe the dial color, but suffice it to say it matches the RG case very well Wish I could post photos but my iPhone pics were pretty crappy. You can see better pictures from a good friend's post at the launch yesterday. Sadly their new Reverso 1931 Central Seconds hasn't reached our shores, so no chance of seeing this hotly anticipated watch.
