US members may already have heard that the Waltham watch given to Theodore Roosevelt by his sister, Dorothea, and stolen from an exhibition in 1987 has been recovered.

That dude wasn’t easily triggered.
Teddy was easily triggered by animals he shot a shitload of them. I don’t know what they did to upset him

Seems like John Muir's watch is still missing. https://www.nps.gov/orgs/1563/isb-jomu-caseupdate11062019.htm He was a friend of Teddy's who helped start the National park system. Guess someone was targeting these old Walthams.

I was a high school student volunteer at the time. Was a real professional job. Like Topkopi, they came in through the windows to avoid the floor pressure sensors and light beams.

This was long before I had any interest in watches. Always wonder if it had some influence later on.
