Boring Sunday idea: show a few good! pictures (preferably not with 'C24' in the picture) and hold back the facts (EOA for example) and we start discussing and collecting facts or guessing (price).

And: please do not use Google Lens and preferably real vintage speedys! Please only upload new watches if the previous one has been resolved by the last creator.

I start with this one, for sale on www:

What do you see? And guess the asking-price

AKA: go Hans go ;-)

Crown seems to be a 24 teeth😳

Are you sure? I think it’s a 32 teeth 60s service crown. Not the right flat foot for this 2998 for sure.

Adding a detail; these vintage 2998’s had one abnormal subdial hand. The hours counter doesn’t have a “nipple”. Hard to see whether that is still present here, but I think I co see a nipple. So, service. Like the bezel.

On the upside; dial and h/m hands look alright at first glance. Hard to say for sure with these pictures. For instance the transverse curve in the alpha hands isn’t quite visible. And where’s the caseback?

Value? Wild guess: worth just north of 10k, offered at 20k?

I had a lovely weekend, so not much watching watches!
😁
You started with the pricy ones....
2998, from -3 up to ?? No serial nr..
@befobe nailed a few points!
There might be blotches on the dial, need more pictures, but the "black" looks uneven and not so exciting.
Stepped dial, some lume loss.
Hour and minute hands looks to new/fresh comparing with the rest of the watch.
Chrono and subdials have had paintwork.
Case looks promising.
Replaced pushers.

Value...???
We need more pictures, but maybe around 10K$?

Well guy: solution ->
"A wonderful specimen of the Omega Speedmaster 2998-6. Nice patina on dial and matching Alpha hands. Dial is near perfect, all imperfections you see are on the crystal which I choose not to be polished. Whole watch looks very little polished as well. Original crystal with Omega logo in the center. Only the bezel is a bit later. " 17.900 €
