If this is your smoking gun, you should go back to smoking weed or crack, or whatever it is you do for fun while cruising your conspiracy theory web sites, and leave this stuff off OF.
Didn't bother to actually read the article linked to on that site now did you. You ignored the identity of the man pressing for the revival of the Arrow. You ignored the company doing the research.
The people on the Army Rumour site , most at least, found the idea ridiculous, because it is ridiculous. They discuss a lot of dumb Canadian conspiracy theories.
The title of the community has apparently gone over your head.
You say neither you nor anyone you know ever heard of the revival scheme, yet its been revived in articles every few years since 2012.
Do your own search and you'll find such articles dated every few years.

You've somehow remained entirely ignorant of these conspiracy theories, even through Canadian news services have published many articles on the subject .

While I'm sure your recommendation on specific drugs is based on your own personal intake I choose to decline, they certainly haven't done much for your thought processes.

I read it. It was 8 years ago and as we’ve already established, and was written clearly in the article, it was dismissed by the government in 2012 as I already stated.

You want to make this appear to be something that is an ongoing discussion here as some serious alternative to the purchase of other fighters, but it simply isn’t. This is a fantasy in your head...it’s not being considered as a viable plan by any past or current federal government. Period.

It may “pop up” every few years on some obscure discussion board for people who live in their parents basement, but no one out in the real wold making the actual decisions is talking about this. Again, if you can provide evidence that this is being seriously considered by the current government, by all means share it.

And I’ll leave the conspiracy theories to people such as yourself.

Isn't this whole Avro discussion a little bit off-topic?

Just the professor trolling...

Just to be clear I am very pleased the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programmes came to fruition and were a success. The space race term is open to interpretation - there have been some huge achievements with probes yet also NASA had a number of years without viable human launch system. 48 years on we have not been back to the moon and we have not reached Mars. The race is still on.. Kennedy did start to waiver on the spending required for the moon mission and it is interesting to speculate if the UK had been first into space how would that have impacted decisions at the time. Kennedys untimely death might have also helped enshrine the necessary budgets and will to reach the moon. What- if questions and analysis of these events may help us understand why we have not pushed further on since then and why companies like SpaceX are making such innovative strides on very tight budgets without a huge bureaucracy behind them.

NASA has also been very set on Liquid Hydrogen which brings technical challenges in terms of storage and insulation.

https://www.nasa.gov/topics/technology/hydrogen/hydrogen_fuel_of_choice.html#:~:text=Today, liquid hydrogen is the,/liquid-hydrogen upper stages.

A number of early British rockets (including Black Arrow) used (Like SpaceX) a form of Kerosene. Some of the SpaceX tests and systems look really basic - but they are very effective.
