My own personal squirrel. But since it won't be here for a few days, can you can guess what it is? The model is pretty common. A version of this watch is still being made, but this one has an unusual complication that makes it relatively rare. It has no seconds hand, but is not an ultra thin watch. The hours and minutes can be read two ways. It is featured in the Japanese catalogs located here: http://www.terra.dti.ne.jp/~nakahiro/ There is a "Z" in the brand, but it's not a Zenith. I have been banned from Zenith ownership. Dennis isn't allowed to guess, since he's seen the pictures. Let's see how you do with this one. gatorcpa
OK, you've got the easy part. It is a Zodiac Astrographic. Still missing the specific complication to which I was referring. Your picture shows a seconds hand (red dot) and only one way to read the time. gatorcpa
OK - so who was it? Hopefully, only your bank manager or significant other. We're a friendly bunch on here. We may be serial enablers and to quote one member, "We have been known to spend the rent money on a watch". Hell, even our Italian friends, on this site, don't challenge you to a duel (unlike on other fora) That pocket watch must be feeling very lonely. You know you covet an early EP or a nice 133.8 / 71 or a 135 I'm sure the Duke of New York can sort you out.
Nope, nothing like that. More of a self ban. I've purchased two Zenith watches and both deals were bad. The little silver one had it's balance wheel bent by a bad watchmaker and I can't get it to keep time to better than a half-hour per day. gatorcpa
QUite Cool. Did it come Monday? Let's see the wrist shots! Is it legal to call 'dibs' before the pics? .... DIBS!
It's here, but I haven't taken any pictures other than to verify that the case reference was a strike-through. All correct. Watch needs a service desperately. gatorcpa
