    Hi All

Below are pictures of the SM300 i've been asking about before you all start laughing it wasn't much money at all

Obviously the glaring problem is the dial a very very very bad dial, date tract and hands.

I did walk away once but something kept telling me to back I was like a moth to a light

What do you guys think is the case legit I know the movement is correct.

The hesalite has the omega logo in the center.

The case back has 3 sets of jewellers marks on it one says K46695 next says says 12/14 (im assuming a date) the last one says JC/409

Caseback is fake, so I presume case is too. Something feels wrong about it if I compare it with the SM300 I had.

Hmm I must admit to have never seen a service caseback and I just looked it up, apparently the inscription is much less deep than in a regular one. Maybe it's a correct service one but I'm not sure.

    Why?!?

The one thing you are accomplishing is convincing fakers that there is a market for these...

Okay then. How much did you pay for this? I just wonder why you wouldn't get a "WatchCo" version instead.

the price was £650.00 and the watchco ones ive seen seem to be 4k

What I'm trying to find out is did i get a genuine case as with a new dial hands and date wheel make this a nice cheap SM300 and a daily wear as apposed to 4k or god knows for a untouched original

Like i said i know the dial is junk but i have seen genuine watches before with rubbish fake dials because the owner or previous owners were too tight to replace or the shady watch repairer ripped them off

It's a service case back...the markings are identical to what I see on the Omega Extranet for a service case back. Note that the stand alone case back that Omega sells has different markings inside than the case back that comes with the complete case does. I suspect possibly made by a different supplier.

The rest of the case I have doubts about - the way the cut out for the crown is done looks very different from a service case...

Case back is a new factory service back, bezel looks to be the same. Case is probably a modern replacement as well. Dial is fake. It's a put together watch.

Ok, despite the other comments here, this case is indeed a service case, and its case back is a correct service replacement as well. Also, as the OP said, the movement obviously appears to be fine. What's wrong with this watch: Per the original post, the dial is horrible — wrong "Seamaster 300" font (and the 300 is on a second line which is incorrect), no numbers at 3-6-9, wrong 12 o'clock marker (it's not one of the correct two types), wrong placement of the other hour markers. Also, there's something "off" about the hour and minute hands, and the second hand is just plain incorrect period. Finally, and less importantly, the date doesn't center in the window, although this could just be a case of sloppiness. Interestingly, the bezel and insert look ok to me (as service replacements go). Bottom line: This one is a combination of a true "Watchco"-style build with a few fake parts. Net-net assessment: This is not a good example of a 166.0324 piece so isn't one I'd personally want to wear.

Thanks for the reply Randy the watch is now with a local watch guy correct seconds hand Dial and date wheel have been sourced and are being fitted next week. The dial which was on the watch had been stuck to the movement with blue tack!! all in all a rough watch which will be brought back to a decent state

That was a 100% fake watch, buyer realized that it was too good to be true and got rid of the obvious fake case and invested in a genuine one. He sold it like this... about the price of the case and bezel.

Other guys buy a fake, invest in a better dial, keep the fake case and bezel and try to sell it for 5200 euros:

The only thing Omega is the movement and possibly the crystal.
