A trooper in Cromwell's New Model Army, c. 1650. The buff coat is a good repro and the leathers have all been replaced (they seldom survive three and a half centuries) but the armour is real.

Like many here it seems, I think if you're a collector, you're a collector and probably keep lots of things. I'd like to think most of my "collecting" has practical uses, but I'm no stranger to collections - including but not limited to:

I have an official autograph card for every NHL player to score over 500 goals or 1000 assists in their career, (as well as many other autographs not sports related). I guess you could also say I have a collection of vintage movie posters, music (both Vinyl and CD's ), guitars, cameras, mountaineering books, stereo equipment, a small collection of western boots, and (perhaps most oddly) I have a small collection of hatchets and vintage axes as well.

You can imagine, my first purchase of a vintage Omega watch this week terrifies and excites me (and my wife) based on the above... 馃榾.

Cool stuff!
Watches take less space than records.

Love exotic woods and guitars...a perfect combination!

Single sheet bird's eye maple front and back, and even sides.

I'm partial to the odd stopwatch for some reason.

Collectors target certain things but Hoarders just hold onto anything.

I am an avid stereo collector myself. I have spent the last 2 years selling most of my collection however. I still have enough stuff to have a stero in every room of the house, with spares 馃榾

Nice collection 馃榾

I need to do a bit of that myself, in the pic above several sets of speakers have departed, but there's still more, waiting to go! This is the right time of year to move it though, so maybe I'll get motivated... I have new Omega's to buy afterall!

That's an exquisite piece of small-scale engineering, precisely (pun intended) the reason I love vintage Omegas.

New arrivals this week...manufactured by Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1937, the Compass Camera is one of the smallest 35mm cameras made. A tiny little marvel machined out of aluminum that offers some amazing features for such a small package. I love it when the two hobbies collide.

Just beautiful, congrats. Does this still work and can you get film for it? Are you planning to use it? If so, like to see the pictures.
