Reflecting back on my first ever Omega. Saw this piece on a watch website around 11 years ago and discussed it with the seller and bought it (the first of half a dozen vintage Omega chronos that I bought from him). When it arrived I was shocked by how clean it was and I reached back out to the seller to make 100% certain that he was comfortable parting with the watch (silly in retrospect, I know). It doesn't get enough wrist time but I am enjoying it this week and loving. The c.321 movement winds and runs smooth as silk. Simple and beautiful. Seamaster chrono.JPG It is a definite keeper. And I am still friendly with the seller.

    Your first?

Well it was at the shop of a colleagues brother and it ain't perfect and I didn't know what I was doing so don't give me too much credit. I just thought it was cool. More money than sense I think. Still I seem to have dodged the noob tax.

You're most likely in the minority if you've completely dodged that tax!! Maybe knock on some wood, or whatever your little good luck custom is...

The one that got me started, a Seamaster my dad left.

    Then I actually bought a 2367

And now for some silly reason I seem stuck on Seiko Bellmatics.

My first vintage Omega was a RCAF single pusher from a close friend. Once hooked, I pulled out all the stops and went for my 2998,
    Cheers,

    Wow, some amazing 'firsts'!

I started with vintage (where the greatest passion for watches began for me) with this one, a birth year 2846, cal. 501 from 1958.

I bought it from a fellow member 19 months ago:

Before I bought this one, though, I had already been drooling over what was to become #2 over on eBay.

    a 1954 ref. 2782 bumper cal. 354

I still own both, and can't see parting with either one in my lifetime...
