My OB still thinks its being announced this month, when I asked yesterday. But then again OBs dont always have the newest info.

They never have any real information. I was told 1.5 years ago that the NTTD would be retired soon.

Yea its hard to filter out whats real, fake, or just outdated info from OBs. At least with mine, I have a pretty good relationship with them so I'm pretty confident they're not intentionally lying for whatever reason. But they have told me on various occasions that Omega corporate keeps em in the dark for as long as possible.

It's that time of the year again... invited to a few cosy pre-Christmas GTG meetings talking 15 minutes specifically about the Omega Alaska Project Speedmaster in spaceflight... and what Apollo 15 astronaut Alfred Worden thought about the Omega Speedmaster chronograph!
Shortly touching onto the personal story of 55 years collecting record-setting aviation & spaceflight photographs, visiting Omega Heritage in 2015, Omega museum in 2016 sharing spaceflight photographs & data which finally got on several websites (Hodinkee October 2017) and in the third edition of the " MoonwatchOnly " book.
2025 marks 10 years since I coined the term " MoonwatchUniverse " ... time to stop in beauty !

They had a pretty cool display at Omega HQ including a nice Alaska Project exhibit (the silver ball in the 1st pic) & the speedy RFQ

BTW, in the background of the first pic is the James Bond exhibit and you can see "Official Commander Bond's Naval Uniform"

We all realise this was a truly interesting story as the Alaska Project Speedmaster was designed based on practical feedback by the Gemini-era NASA astronauts (1967-68). Truly the ultimate space watch to be worn on the bumpy Lunar Rover.
I talked about this with Omega Heritage in the summer of 2016 and they wanted to keep my findings quiet but I had a feeling they weren't serious about using my data so I contacted Hodinkee and wrote two article on the subject:
https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/a...-never-go-to-space-actually-did-at-least-once
.
And of course I had the most amazing talk with Apollo 15 CMP Alfred Worden (January 2019) about the " practical Speedmaster " ...
