I'll often see various vintage Date models with a plastic crystal with what I call a "reverse cyclops". In other words, there is a magnification bubble over the date window, but it's on the INSIDE unlike Rolex that put it on the outside. I think the inside bubble is a superior design, but I wonder if those are original or aftermarket?

Does anyone have information on this?

All I can say is that my Constellation from 1970 has it on the inside, and it was there since birth.

Mine also has it on the inside and it's a signed crystal with Omega symbol in the center, so I think this is how it should be

Omega offered both designs on some models.

    Cheers, Al

Hi there - would you know where I can purchase a NOS plexi that has the reverse cyclops. It’s for a early 1970s omega - 30.6mm :) cheers
