The OMEGA Hour Vision Co-Axial Skeleton Platinum Limited Edition

Each detail of OMEGA's Hour Vision Co-Axial Skeleton Platinum Limited Edition proclaims that this is a timepiece created by a watchmaker working at horology's cutting edge.

Start with the 41 mm outer case. It is crafted from 950 platinum and it has a 360° transparent sapphire casebody set inside it, allowing unobstructed views of both sides of the exclusive OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8403 which drives this extraordinary watch. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, the watch is delivered with a four-year warranty.

The movement at the heart of this masterpiece is fitted with OMEGA's revolutionary Co-Axial calibre 8403 with an 18 Ct gold rotor. Its appearance is enhanced by the fact that non-essential material from the plates and bridges has been sawn away, giving it a unique "skeletonized" essence.

The OMEGA Hour Vision Co-Axial Skeleton Platinum wristwatch was created in an edition limited to only 88 pieces.

They've done skeletons before in the past, but this is a little more unique in that they're using an actual dial, made of sapphire, much like the tourbillon special editions they've made, but the 8500 base movement is simply stunning, particularly how you can see the 18k gold rotor through the dial spinning. You'd never see the time, just stare at it ;)

Here's the old Speedmaster moonphase skeleton, also in platinum, 57 produced.

Here's the Tourbillon, quite a bit of similarity in use of a sapphire dial
