Wait, what? Is this right? Almost $8200 USD for a Hesalite? That’s quite the increase. They just bumped from $6400 to $6600.

Yes, purchasing Omega in EU is now quite a hit on the wallet.

The range of these Moonphase Speedmasters are way under appreciated and undervalued, imo. For whatever reasons they just rate a 'meh' on the enthusiasm scale even though the addition of a date and moon phase dial is a nice complication added to the standard 1863 upgraded finished movement.

Nice Fratello article describing this offshoot line. I'm not too sure about the prediction for an eventual 3866 version, though.

My OB hinted earlier this year that there might be something with Moonphase coming.

Not sure though if he meant the Professional line or the 44.25mm versions.

I've wanted one of those for awhile, but I just know I'll immediately hit that gold bezel on a doorknob.

I also really love the 345.0809, which would be a birthyear watch for me. But, I suspect I'm priced out of owning one.

The moon pops more on the lighter dial. Easy to see why you'd want it.

I love the black dial with the moon phase I just would like it more without the date...
The date hand and #s just distract you from the moon itself.

Is that finish in the dial side of the movement typical of a 1863? I think it’s plain on the 1861.

The old 1863, and the moon/date version 1866, both had the upgraded finish versus the stock 1861. So, yes, an 1863 would have the same type finish as the 1866 in the pic you refer to.
