Beautiful one! I have noticed that the 18 k Monodatics all feature these flat crowns. Also, the case, though it looks similar to the 200101 non-HF, has different lugs, I think. They are much more turned inwards and are missing the additional ridge. Or am I just imagining things?

Late to the party... Here is my stainless steel Monodatic, a watch I really like A LOT!
Round date & cyclop crystal were icing on the cake, but the wide bezel and these cases are just fantastic!
At the Paris gtg this watch got quite a lot of love from other collectors...

Yes, this seems to be correct. These lugs require female spring bars.

I can understand why! The crystal has a tension ring, right? Top watch!!

Super interesting. So we already have 4 different cases and 7 dial variations so far.

I am confused by Monodate and not clear on their relationship with Monodatic ? Ive never really studied, but I know that non automatic Monodate are usually running a 267G and I thought they were perhaps a lower price point line. But then you see examples like above which have Automatic on the dial, and running a bumper, and in the same case as many Monodatic (and you sometimes see them with fancier dials) so I don't know..........anyone else know the history?

I simply assumed a Monodate Automatic was the same as a Monodatic, as my Monodate has the same cal. 138C movement, same case and a similar dial to my other Monodatic watches...

Does someone want to start a database of serial and reference numbers for monodate automatic, and monodatic?
The truth could make itself known this way, just takes a bit of work and impartiality...

I always thought that the line would go Monodate - Monodate Automatic - Monodatic (makes sense naming-wise 馃榿)

the serial of the monodate automatic is in the 14xxx range, and the serial of the 18 k is in the 15xxx range - wouldn鈥榯 that mean that the automatic came before the 18k?

Yes silly me, I was looking at the reference number instead of the serial. Still working on coffee this morning.
