When I first started Speedmaster shopping, I definitely considered that reduced. But what I couldn't get over is how the changed sub-dial spacing completely threw off the balance/appearance of the watch. I realize the spaced-out subdials is somewhat common in some movements (I've seen quite a few Venus movements that have this spacing too!), but if they were going to do a chronograph module, getting the subdial spacing 'correct' would have been pretty easy IMO (and I would have preferred the layout be correct too?).

Nice write up - thanks for sharing. I like the smaller case size, which would be pretty much mandatory for me, but actually prefer the manual wind and visuals a bit better on the Original. Great looking watches either way.
