I'm quite sure we've seen this before, this time Peru en route via Australia? http://m.ebay.com/itm/262700513254Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Here you go.. previously seen here: http://chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?md=read;id=56874
most likely not, but either something the seller doesn't own or a potential buyer would never receive after paying for it..or both. This sort of scam started somewhen with Sellers from Peru, that's why I referred to it.
Can someone educate me here? Is there a way for the seller to get around the paypal dispute that would surely ensue? Fake paypal account? Such a thing?
The account is real, but recently made with fraudulent details and misleading feedback Just like you going to a bank and lying about your details
Try to pressure the buyer into paying via bank wire. Or Accept payment via paypal. Transfer money to bank account associated with paypal account. Close bank account. Never ship item.
Under PayPal if you did not receive item, won't there be buyer's protection where you can dispute and file a case with PP to get your money back ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It would seem like PayPal would have to eat this transaction and reimburse the buyer. It's not his or her fault that PayPal fell victim to the scammer Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
