The many faces of a Rolex (help me understand this)

Recently I picked this beauty from the for sale section of the forum, for which I'm still waiting with bated breath:

For starters I'm having a hard time finding a dial just like it on a reference 6084. Funny enough there are a few on references 6096 (http://www.thewatchlover.com/rolex-bubble-back-6098-steel/, yes that's a retarded price tag). Then there is the fact that most reference 6096 are 'Precision', with a few 'Certified Chronometer'.

How many different faces were these dang things issued with? And how come the same reference comes both as Precision and Certified?

I do know for a fact they dos come as both precision and certified. Not sure exactly why but I would guess sometime within the timeline the certification took place so they could advertise as such. Kind of like the 5512 coming in 2 and 4 line formats. For the rest I must admit i am not familiar with these specific models, having done some basic research as prompted by the Everest thread.

I believe there's also a super precision to add to the mix
. My 6098 with a296 is a precision with a chronometer movement, which I think is not uncommon.
There's lots of different dials, mine is quite similar to the 6084 you're waiting for- nice snag by the by, that's a beaut!
Is your case 36mm? Is the crown a super oyster?

Don't know much about these, but the ovettones are undervalued imho.
