One of the interesting parts of vintage watch collecting is discovering a bit of history with a newly acquired watch. I recently bought an Omega Teutonic (145.0040). By most accounts, this Speedmaster model was presumably sold in the German / Swiss markets.

I bought it from a seller in Italy

It came with an Extract indicating it was originally delivered to a buyer in Saudi Arabia i 1983

It now resides with me in the USA.

Owners on 3 continents (at least). it's interesting to consider how far it's traveled in its life so far.

I'm sure there are some great stories out there - let's hear them!

Wow congrats for the watch! How is it doing now, do you like it?

And yes i have the same question as well! If this watch were made for the German market, how come i got it in Jakarta, Indonesia?! And the owner before me acquired this watch from Omega Authorized dealer in Singapore! That is a long long trip for a watch..
