I’m a newbie here, and I confess to know very little about vintage watches.
I have received wonderful info/guidance from OF (which has helped me to discern and feel confident enough to purchase two Omega watches) and have very little to contribute. I did however read an interesting and detailed piece from Desmond Guilfoyle regarding these fine movements (551-751) from Omega. To the uninitiated, it captures Omega’s drive, ingenuity and competitive challenges during this period of development. Here’s the link off Norton safe search :

You could contribute by telling us about your watches. I never tire in showing mine, though I may bore the poor devils who see the same pics of them over and over!

Paid $1600 for the Connie C. Paid $1200 for the Cosmic. ( admittedly prob a bit high on the 166.023 ) both off C24. I’m a newbie so I’m fearful of eBay ...

Yup. It’s a clean Cosmic and was completely serviced prior to purchase but it was my first vintage and I kinda got carried away. Lol
