I think we need to discuss this since many here will already have noticed it. I want to draw attention to it because I'm sure it's not authentic. Take a look, don't get carried away, judge the different colour of the fabrics for example.. Have you ever seen this the last 20 years, heard of it, somewhere, anywhere? It's a unicorn..

Same Ebay seller from Spain who refuses to disclose any of movement number of the 2914-3 that he is selling.

Double edit: This box is being sold as a 1960's box commemorating Gemini12? Was there some sort of Omega presentation of a watch after that mission??? Never heard of such a thing but .........

@mr_yossarian thanks for bringing the box to light. This was the box I was inquiring about yesterday.

I have searched the internet high and low over the years and have never seen anything like this box. I do not believe it's authentic. The fabric that the mission patch is applied to appears to be a shade lighter than the other material. I'm thinking that it was a scarf of something similar cut down, mounted, and inset into the box. I'm trying now to identify anything produced during that period that could have been used to create this.

The Seller claimed he bought it years ago in the UK and that it took him years to find this box...sure, finding something non-existant must take decades until youu finally create it yourself..

I am now banned from the auction, probably too many questions.

Someone is going to lose quite a bit of money, unless you report the item...

It's the 10.5 by 10.5 cm square red box... the most common in the 1960s and 1970s... The logo isn't even on a Beta cloth but looks like a one-off creation

Reported but still up with 17hrs to go, someone obviously thinks this is real! Which LE went with this??? Been looking for a sixties standard box, but not at the prices being asked, the price on this is ridiculous.

Not sure what it takes for ebay to take an auction down but I hope the new owner enjoys their new $732.00 Gemini 12 box.

What price does a box like this typically command? I'm curious as to what value the addition of the Gemini 12 insert added to the price.

Poor guy who bought it, no due dilligence..
We will meet that thing again, maybe next time pimped with a certificate of authenticity :)

The sixties boxes in good condition that I have been looking at, (and consider too expensive!) are around £90 say about $120. I hope the buyer doesn't see this thread!!

Edit, that would be for the outer box as well which this did not seem to have.
